Welcome to my blog at Pranaco.com

I am a little slow in getting my blog started and I realize at this moment that this is because of the same phenomenon that most of us experience when faced with new tasks or any other kind of change. This is exactly the topic about which I will be writing frequently! Habits are usually difficult to develop; change and new things can just be plain hard to create.

In fact, our brains actually aren’t set up to readily embrace change. I am fascinated by the latest research in neuroscience that tell us why this is so. The work that is coming out of fields of neuroscience gives some context to the work many coaches have been doing for some time and also adds some new dimensions which I’m quite excited about. I’m certain that the new discovers by our scientist friends, will certainly help us understand how our brains work and how that affects our ability to change and develop.

My interests –and therefore my blog categories– are in the areas personal development, change, leadership and systems. Those are huge topics, I know! To get a little more specific, I will present ideas for people to consider about how to approach personal development whether that is change for one self, a client you work with or a system (partnership or team) that you are a part of. I also intend to present leadership topics which will have a personal development aspect to them. I want to do anything and everything I can to support innovative leadership at this time. Clearly, the world is in the midst of change and we need strong, empowered visionary leaders pointing the way to what’s next.

I believe that true leadership requires self-knowledge and self discovery so those two topics of leadership and self development go hand in hand. The neuroscience work will show up within leadership and with all of my other categories as well.

I look forward to what ensues with this form of communication!
